Ellinor Ljungkvist's choreographic work is a combination of contemporary dance and conceptual performance art. Her pieces are based on real events and true stories told by the performers themselves. The performers are extremely genuine on stage when performing their own personal experiences in a very set and narrated choreography. And though, the topics are dark and serious it is presented with fun and absurd humor. Till today Ellinor have created about ten pieces that has been shown locally all the way through Europe to Russia and the Philippines. As a collaborator she has worked together with both known choreographers and theatre directors as with young creative fellows. She has developed pieces and workshops of collective- and collaborative approach that focuses on feminist art and collective work methods.

Ellinor is born in Nora in Bergslagen but currently based in Stockholm. She has lived half her life abroad as in Berlin, Vienna and Salzburg because of art studies in contemporary conceptual dance and choreography. She holds a Diploma in ballet and contemporary dance from Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, a bachelor in arts from The Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin - Dance, Context, Choreography and a Master in Choreography from The University of the Arts Stockholm.
